Etsy, artfire and the economy

I have always said I would never have an Etsy store as I have never cared for Etsy. However, with the economy the way it is currently and my husband getting laid off and being unable to find a job, our financial situation is in a downward spiral.

By now I'm sure you are saying "Why is she telling us this?" Well, because I wanted to show you some of the items I have been making for my etsy store.

I hope to have some tea towels applique'd and uploaded soon. I will post pics of the tea towels then after that I will be posting about them on my quilting blog.

I am also making reusable nursing pads but my daughter's friends are buying those pretty fast. 003

I've also made several can cozies. The cozies work up fast and I think they are pretty cute. 006 009 010 012

If you have any ideas of items that I could make to sell, please let me know.

Best of luck to you with your online ventures. There are plenty of us doing it for the same reasons.

The reusable nursing pads are a wonderful idea! I couldn't have lived without them while nursing my boys.

I think all your stuff is fantastic and right up my alley. I'm going to add you to my favorite sellers. Hopefully I'll get some stuff up in my store too, eventually!
