On my hook 6/22/12

I found this scarf pattern on pinterest. I love pinterest! The scarf pattern is from A Spoonful of Sugar. The scarf was so easy. I started the scarf Sunday night. I think the scarf needs a hat to match so that is my next project.
Goals for this week

Be Attitudes finished

I got the Be Attitudes quilted and the binding done. In fact, Jon immediately hung it on their wall. I do believe it grew after it was hung. It looks huge.
I didn't do any fancy quilting but I liked the way the back looks.

Mitered corners

Miter corners and I have a love hate relationship. Sometimes mine just don't come out right. I found this tutorial on cheater miter corners. hmm I had to give it a try.

The first corner

The second corner was just as good as was the third.

The fourth corner was the hardest, I will need some practice.

Wonky Cups

Aunt Pitty Pat pinned the tutorial for making wonky coffee cups on pinterest. I had saw these around blogs but never how to make them. I immediately made 6 for a wall hanging. I think it turned out cute.
The back.

Be joyful

I have finished the last block of the Be Attitude quilt.
The last row has been added to the quilt and I added one border. I thought that was plenty for a wall hanging. It still finished at 40"x60".

On the Hooks Friday

Judy over at Patchwork Times started having On the Needles Friday. Well, I don't have needles, I have hooks.  Judy said you didn't have to knit, you could crochet, spin, etc.

Nikolas picked this yarn out several months ago for me to make him a blanket. I wasn't sure about the colors but his Mom seem to think they would be alright. Then I had to find a pattern. Thank goodness for Ravelry. The pattern is for a baby blanket with a hood so I will just keep going until it is Nikolas size and I will leave off the hood.

Here is the link if you would like to link up with Judy.

Happy stitching!

Lazy Heart quilt

I finally got Lacy's Lazy Heart quilt finished, including binding and delivered. Lacy was pleased and that is all that mattered. Mine is sandwiched and hope to have it done very soon.

Reindeer Games Week 2

When I finished the second reindeer, I realized I had put the name Dasher or both reindeer. Since I didn't like the thread on the real Dasher, I picked it out and changed the name to Dancer. I'll get it right next reindeer.
Both reindeer.

Fabric

When I made the Lazy Heart quilts I used ever bit of heart fabric that I had. So I took Lacy with me to pick out the perfect heart fabric for the binding. Lacy has a great eye for fabric and matching. I think the heart fabric that Lacy found was so perfect I bought just little extra.
Then we found this fabric and I think I'm going to use some of it for backing.
I think we did good!

Be grateful

Finally, I finished the Be Grateful block and I've started the Be Joyful block. I'm so excited to finish this quilt and see it hanging on Lacy's wall.
Yes, I changed the block just a little. Barb had sent me the acorn, pumpkin and leaves and I wanted to use them in this block. I believe Barb cut them with her GO cutter.

These are the first two blocks on the last row.
Happy quilting!
