Do I have your address?

Found a very easy pattern for crocheted coasters. I'm talking so easy it takes like 5/10 minutes maybe to make one. I like making things that I can make and carry on a conversation, watch TV, etc. So if I have your address you will be receiving a set of 4 coasters. These will be mailed as I get them completed. The pink trimmed in red were made for Lacy and I, DH and Jon didn't want that color. :P I had this little bit of yarn left so I made the yellow, green, white and purple just because. Did you guess that the camo coasters were for the guys?

Half Granny Square shawl

I found this link on Ravelry. I love all the patterns and blogs that I can find at Ravelry. The link for this pattern took me to Ambar's webpage. Lots of goodies over there and when Ambar found out I was having difficulty she contacted me. Now how sweet was that? Now that I know what I was doing wrong this is so easy and I can do it without thinking. I love making things that I don't have to continuously count. I am already planning the next shawl using self striping yarn. FUN FUN!! Lacy thinks I should make summer shawls using this pattern also. We will see. I didn't put much fringe on shawl because I wasn't sure who I would give the shawl to and I didn't want them to be overwhelmed with fringe being in their way.

Merry Christmas To My Angel Friends

I believe in angels
those helpers who are near
exactly when they're needed most,
then seem to disappear.
I know them when I see them
whatever their disguise
they're patient and encouraging
resourceful, kind, and wise.
Yes, I believe in angels
the kind that heaven sends
and I'm surrounded every day
by angels I call friends.
God gave me someone special
when He gave me
A special friend like you.
Have a Blessed Christmas!

I really do other things besides make hats. I post pictures of them. lol Here is Jon's camo hat. I guess he likes it he wore it all day INSIDE the house. lol I crocheted this hat using this pattern. Can I say easy?1040 http://www.firebrunetteknitting.com/2007/09/26/single-crochet-beanie-pattern/

This is the scarf that I'm made for Lacy. Lacy didn't want the scarf to be too long so that she feels like she is fighting it while managing 2 babies. 1069

Could it be??

Could it be that hat making is contagious? Lacy made this hat for Greg and she has another one on the loom.1038 I'm so proud of her. :D

What?? Another hat!

Are you tired of looking at hats? I certainly seem to be addicted to making them. Lacy has suggested that I find a charity to donate hats. I'm giving this some thought and I'm leaning towards baby hats but I could change my mind.

Yes, I made Nikolas another hat. I love this color combination. 1034 I used the Knifty Knitter to make this hat.

Stash growing

I took my daughter to the mall today to get a book at Border's. When she was done she said "let's go to Hobby Lobby." We love that store. After walking the entire storing leaving a trail of drool we ended up in the yarn section. Look at the goodies she got me to create with. Yarn 1032 The navy (way at the back) will be part of a navy and white hat for Greg to wear home, it matches his shirt. The aqua was just soft and pretty. The camo is for a hat for Jon. The orange sherbert will be a hat for Greg with matching booties. And the blue and green self striping will be hats for both boys. I'm a happy momma!

Greg's blanket

I hated the way Greg's blanket was turning out. It felt thin, limp and it gathered in the corners. So I frogged it and started over. I'm still doing a granny square but I'm much happier this time as I'm using 2 strands of thread. It already has some body to it.

Knifty Knitter

Toni aka TheQuiltingPirate mentioned using her Knifty Knitter in a post. I had never heard of a Knifty Knitter but I checked it out and my daughter set me up with all of these looms. Within 3 hrs I had a hat done that would fit Nikolas. I was very impressed. After chatting with Toni through emails now I know how to make a scraf using my round loom. Now I never said the first hat was perfect the edge of the hat came out loopy and I'm hoping I can figure out a way to save the hate as I thought the red and white yarn made a pretty pattern. 1022

Pink for Ava

I made a mistake on the second bootie. Rather than rip-it, I turned it into an ornament. Ava's mommy thinks I'm so smart. lol NOT!

Baby things are so tiny and sweet

Back to working on Greg's blanket.

Ava Marie

I got busy Wednesday evening making a hat and booties for Ava Marie. I wanted to make a lilac set and a pink set. Finished the lilac set Thursday afternoon and I was working fast as Ava's mother had went into labor. However, before I could finish the little pink hat and no I haven't started on the pink booties, Miss Ava Marie arrived into the world. I can't wait to see her. So today I will be busy making a pair of little pink booties so they can be delivered to their new owner tonight. This is the lilac set.
