It's just a triangle shawl

As soon as I finished the St. Bartholomew shawl, I started looking for another project. Surely you didn't think I was going to hold my hands while watching TV. No can do!

So I rushed to Ravelry to see if there were any new patterns and of course I found another shawl pattern. It's just a triangle - shawl pattern by laughing purple goldfish designs. I grabbed a skein of Blushing Baby and Cream yarn by Caron's Simply Soft. I really need to stay off that website, I'm sure I would get more accomplished.

This is about half finished.

CQ block #2

I'm much happier with my second block. Creating a crazy quilt block is a lot of work for me. I spend a lot of time picking fabrics then tossing auditioning others. I love the fabric in the center of this block.

I would like to do some hand embroidery on the 2 blocks I have done but I'm not sure if I put the block in a hoop or not. I certainly don't want to mess them up and I hate the frog stitch.

Caleb

Caleb's mom got me to decorate some shirts for him. The first shirt was to match his granddaddy's biker group.

The next shirt is for Caleb's birthday.

St Bartholomew Crochet Shawl

I finished the St Bartholomew Crochet shawl Sunday night at 10:20. I was so excited to see it finished and I can't wait to see it being worn by the new owner. It feels so good to finish a gift.

The color of this shawl made me very nervous, I was so afraid something was going to get spilled on it. I know I could have washed it but I couldn't help but worry.

Playing with scraps

I never know what to do with the bits and pieces of left over yarn, so I've been playing around with it. The final row will be a shade of green. I don't know what I will be doing with these blocks.

I'm thinking the block in the upper left corner is done except for the row of green. I still have more scraps to play with.

Crazy Quilt box

The box arrived from my mother and her friend. Betsy and I should have enough to get us started. Just look at the lace, velvet and satin.

Aiden is spending the morning with me but I'm hoping to get all the fabric cut in half so I can get Betsy's in the mail.

Rectangle Lap Throw

Finally I finished the rectangle lap throw. It finished at 32" x 38", which is big enough since I doubt the person I'm giving it to will do anything but lay it on the sofa. I took several pictures hoping to capture the true colors of the yarn.

Flower Mini

It is that time of year for flowers so I made Lacy a flower mini. I think it turned out pretty cute. There is even a lady bug.

Crazy Quilt

Betsy and I are making a crazy quilt. Betsy got a jump start on her's last week, I'm just getting to mine. Betsy sent me these fabrics to get me started.

Mom and some of her friends are gathering up fabrics, buttons and trim for us. Mom has all kinds of fabric for us as Mom used to make bridal gowns and bride's maid dresses. I can't wait to get the box from her.

This is my first block, I'm not sure it is a keeper or not.

Color

As quilters, yarnies and stitchers we look every where for color inspiration. I found this inspiration in the parking lot of the complex next to mine. I want some fabric this color.

No, I do not want to drive a car that color.

More Chabbits

Lacy thought Nikolas and Greg needed chabbit shirts to wear Sunday afternoon.

Here is a picture of the boys in their Easter dress shirts.
