Lazy Heart finished

I'm so excited I finished quilting my Lazy Heart quilt this week. I can't wait for Jon to get here and hang it for me.
I pieced the backing on mine.

Bow Ties

I'm making a bow tie on point quilt. I'm having lots of fun making it. I did have a little oops, I sewed the last row together wrong. I didn't do it wrong once, I had to do it twice. I thought about leaving it since I did it twice but I make enough mistakes without having an obvious mistake.
So I ripped it out twice and finally got it right. I always heard third time is a charm.
I have 81 bow ties. I haven't decided if I will do 8 across and 10 down or 9 across and 9 down.

Happy quilting!

Organizing

I had good intentions of organizing my fabric today, it has really got out of control. Guess what, it is still out of control because I found something fun to play with.

Isn't it pretty? I love the colors but it had no bottom and the top was unfinished. I searched through all of my fabric looking for more of what the little object was made out of. None was to be found.

I knew exactly what I would do with it but I had to go searching through the cabinets first until I found this.
Yep, it fit perfectly!

However, I found this fabric.
Oh dear! I thought this fabric was too pretty to cut, finally, I took the plunge. I added the bottom.
Trust me I was holding my breathe for fear my circle would be to big or too small. Then I made handles and finished the top.
Oh! The whip cream container!
The bag is taller than the container but I needed room for the project I was working.

Happy stitching!

Yarn Projects

I have a few yarn projects going.

Scarf
Baby blanket
Purse
I use old coffee cans or whip cream containers, so I made a bowl cover that you can see in this photo. I didn't have a pattern.

Eyeglass case
The glass case is done in tunisian crochet using the simple stitch

Happy stitching!.

Japanese Knot Bag

I had saw these bags around on the internet but I thought it was going to be small, so I didn't make one. Then Barb and I were chatting about the bag and Barb said "You will be surprised at how much you can get in this bag." OK, so I had to see if it would hold all my stuff.

So I went from this.

To this.
And everything that was in the Coach bag went into the Japanese Knot bag.
I'm looking for the perfect red fabric so I can make another.

Happy quilting!

Rooster

I found this free rooster pattern at Attic Window. I just loved the colors!
I'm sewing or playing with yarn but I don't have anything else that I can show for now.

Happy quilting!
