Snowball quilt

I started quilting the Snowball quilt Sunday morning. I used a design that came with my embroidery machine. Each design takes 3 minutes. Then I had to walk back into the dining area so I could re-hoop the next block. Hubbykins said I probably spent more time walking back and forth and re-hooping.

Here is a close-up of the design.
The back of the quilt shows that the quilting needed something else but I didn't know what else so I washed and dried it.
Should I have connected the designs with cross hatching?

Happy quilting!

            Pretty 'n Pink

I changed the last block on the Pretty 'n Pink quilt. I didn't like the pieced block.
And I goofed. I can't add obviously, I miscalculated when I was figuring the amount of fabric I needed to include the borders. Ugh! The pattern called for the same fabric in the blocks for the border and I don't have enough. I haven't decided what I'm going to do. The quilt without the borders measures 44" x 69 1/2", which would make a nice size throw.

            Happy quilting!

              My Flower Garden

I wanted to do free motion quilting on this quilt. Well, it just didn't work. My space is so limited that I just couldn't manage the quilt. So I ended up tying the quilt and I'm OK with that. I will be looking for a small table for my embroidery machine and will be doing some re-arranging SOON.
              Edit: Finished size is 49" x 67".

              Pretty 'n Pink

When I started this quilt in 2008, I wanted for my own but now I'm now so sure. Pink really isn't my color. I'm thinking this quilt may end up at Ms. Lacy's house. I have one more block, then I can add the borders and start applique'ing them.

              January Goals

I've listed my goals on the right side bar for January. I know it doesn't look like much but it is a start and I don't want to be so overwhelmed with finishing projects that I can't have some fun. I just listed the name of the quilt on the sidebar but here is a more detailed list of what I need to complete.

              • Batik Hexagon-make more hexes, sew hexes together
              • Farm Quilt-finish blocks, add sashing between blocks (25 blocks total 10 completed)
              • My Flower Garden-finish typing
              • Pretty 'n Pink-complete last block, add borders, applique' borders
I will pull this back up the last blogging day of the month.

              Happy quilting!!

              Week ending 10/2

Well, that worked pretty well keeping me motivated. Plus I didn't feel like I had to work on a project because it was on my list. I worked on what I wanted to work on.

              1. Sewed binding on Bliss & Blessings

              11. Found background squares and corner stones for Emillee's Winding Ways. WOOHOO!!

I looked everywhere for the pieces I had already cut for Emilee's Winding Ways. I had looked so much I had decided I had accidently thrown them away. Saturday afternoon I remembered that when I was showing my neighbor the batik flower garden quilt those pieces were laying on the bed. I unfolded the batik quilt and there they were. Thank goodness!

              Happy stitching!

              Goals NOT

Seems that making a list of goals that I hope to accomplish is not working for me at the moment. The goal list isn't working because I don't always want to work on what I need to work on. So I'm going to try making a list of what I am accomplishing. Feel free not to read as I'm doing this to keep up with my accomplishments and this is subject to change.
