Let's go, Broncos, let's go!

I'm not a football fan. If I never heard another word that was regarding football I would not care. However, my son-in-law loves football. Jon found this fleece at Hancock's and wanted me to make him a blanket. I tried to talk him in to letting me fringe the edges but he didn't want that. So I just sewed it up. I really didn't know what else to do with it. Should be warm with two layers of fleece.

Happy quilting!

The Soup Family

There's a new blog in town. You won't see any quilting there, well maybe but you will find recipes that she has tried, knitting she is doing and all about her boys. Check it out and find out how the blog got it's name.

Welcome to The Soup Family!

Gone

My son-in-law had emergency surgery on Monday and they are having to go back in AGAIN tomorrow. I am watching the boys at their apt so no sewing or crocheting is getting done. I'll be back when we get Jon home.

Lacy's blanket

Remember this yarn? It was bought for Lacy a shawl, then she decided she wanted a blanket instead. Strawberry Stripes
So one of the things I did while waiting for Greg to make his entrance into the world last Friday was start Lacy's blanket. This is the first block of many. ;o 1254
And this is the 2nd block. 1264

For those of you who don't follow my quilting blog, I have a new grandson, Gregory Andrew who was born 1/30 @ 3:38 pm. I know you want to see how cute and cuddly he is.

Here is the whole little family. Notice Nikolas is trying to put his arm around his Mommy. I thought that was so sweet.

I really do other things besides make hats. I post pictures of them. lol Here is Jon's camo hat. I guess he likes it he wore it all day INSIDE the house. lol I crocheted this hat using this pattern. Can I say easy?1040 http://www.firebrunetteknitting.com/2007/09/26/single-crochet-beanie-pattern/

This is the scarf that I'm made for Lacy. Lacy didn't want the scarf to be too long so that she feels like she is fighting it while managing 2 babies. 1069
