Snowball quilt

I started quilting the Snowball quilt Sunday morning. I used a design that came with my embroidery machine. Each design takes 3 minutes. Then I had to walk back into the dining area so I could re-hoop the next block. Hubbykins said I probably spent more time walking back and forth and re-hooping.

Here is a close-up of the design.
The back of the quilt shows that the quilting needed something else but I didn't know what else so I washed and dried it.
Should I have connected the designs with cross hatching?

Happy quilting!

Cindy, it looks great as is. However, most battings usually require your quilting stitches to be closer together than yours appear to be, or the batting might migrate after continued washing. Or maybe they are as close together as is recommended?

Cindy, what a great design....I'm thinking some close stippling to really bring out the block designs.

Wow! That turned out great.

Just think, you get to quilt and get a workout all in one.

Cindy

How lovely. I love the colors you choose and the color of the quilting thread on the back.

Looks great! And the walking back and forth is the exerise for the day... no need to hop on a treadmill.
