Betsy sent me a wonderful package.
I got these wonderful blocks for my Things That I Love quilt.
I think she picked the right woman for each of us. Just too cute!
Plus she sent three more blocks for my quilt. The little pumpkin will be applique'd onto a background.
Look what a wonderful panel. I'm taking it next week to match to fabric so I can start working on it.
I'll be blogging about my plan for the panel real soon.
I just love this pattern she sent me for Mother's Day. I intend to prep the first block this weekend. I must admit the borders scare me.
I love that Betsy sends me quilt magazines that she is finished with. Look at that cute pattern in the right corner. I better get busy cutting circles.
Happy quilting!
When you visit my blog you will find me blogging about the things I love;applique', crochet, quilting, photography, cooking, my three grandsons and my granddaughter.

10 Minute Block hahahahahahaha
My first block probably took 30 minutes. I just could not wrap my brain around that folded pieces of fabric. When I finally got it I apologized to the woman in the video for threatening to slap her. It really wasn't her fault that I wasn't as smart as Barb and Hetty. If you haven't tried the 10 minute/3 seam block, the possibilities are endless with this block.
Close up
I think I will add a narrow border using the polka dots. My quilt finished at 40" x 60".
I've cut enough blocks for another quilt using some really ugly fabric. Hey! Ugly fabric wants to be loved.

Boot Bash April BOM
Molly did a great job with this pattern, I love the barbed wire fence in back of the boots. I haven't decided about sashing yet. I used some flannel for part of the boot that Betsy gave. I had never used flannel in applique' but I had no problems and will use it again.

Purse
Lacy thinks I'm picky about my purse. Must only have 1 strap, no black or brown give me some color and the inside must be cloth. When I get tired of a purse and I don't have a new purse, I go back to old faithful.
I got tired of old faithful.I bet she weighs 10 lbs before I put all myjunk important items inside. So I made me a new purse. I may add a snap. I'm sure glad Betsy sent this fabric to me.

New Project
I know I need to get some of the quilts quilted that I have finished but I keep forgetting to purchase batting and I'm down to a piece about 32 3/4" x 25 1/2".
Betsy blogged about this quilt yesterday and I want one. lol So Betsy and I emailed back and forth several times, then I got busy starting on my blocks. My unfinished blocks will be 6 1/2"x6 1/2" since most of my embroidery designs stitch out at 4" x 4". It takes 128 blocks and the quilt was designed by Dale Ritson. Betsy and I are going to call our quilt Things That I Love.
If you would like to send a block for my quilt I would love for my friends to be a part of my quilt. I will send a block of the same size to anyone who sends me block. If you don't have my address, I will email it to you. Any background color, any technique as long as the unfinished block is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2".
A pretty bra
A little dog that reminds me of Mary Lou.
Chocolate ice cream cone
I love Old World Santa's. It didn't turn out exactly the way it was in my mind.
I have a list of designs I want to do and I'm really excited about this quilt.
Here is a sneak peek at what else my embroidery machine is doing.
My embroidery machine worked for 6 hrs yesterday. I got worried it was going to go on strike. lol

Island Baby
Remember this fabric that Barb wrapped around the buttons?
As soon as I saw it I knew I would be making Chelsi a dress using the tutorial from Craft Snob. I have another dress made but need to match ribbon to it and I have one cut out.
Hubbykins said Chelsi would be ready for a vacation on the islands as soon as she gets here.

Lazy Hearts April BOM
April's block was so fun to make. I pulled bright fabrics because plants burst with color around this time.
Then I just had to add some sashing. I had bought some heart sashing from Inch Worm Fabric and I think they will work perfectly. I did this one first but I think I'm going to change it on the second row like the second photo.
I like the sashing better on the second row better on this one.
I had fun making these blocks and adding the sashing. If you would like to join this BOM, it's not too late.

Victorian Cape
I made Chelsi this cape, size 0 to 6 months. She should get some use out of it this winter. It took me about 20 hrs to make it. I will be making another one in red for Chelsi to have for Christmas.

Autumn Red dress
I made another dress for Chelsi. This is the last one for a while. The yarn was called Autumn Red.
This the flower I crocheted for Chelsi's headband. It will match all of the dresses that I have crocheted.
I am working on something else for Chelsi. The pattern called for a tiny hook and tiny thread so it is taking me a little while. Hopefully, by the end of the week I will be finished.

Buttons
Barb was contacted by Button Mad to give away 10 cards of buttons. You guessed it, I won a card of buttons. They are so cute. I don't know what I'm going to do with them YET.
Barb wrapped the little birds in this beautiful fabric and I know what I am making with it.
Thanks, Barb and ButtonMad.

I ordered the kit for Blossom Lane from Inch Worm. The fabrics felt so wonderful. It was an easy kit and went together very quickly. I hope to get it quilted this weekend.

Farmers Market
I finished this quilt in 2008. I don't know why I hadn't quilted it. Farmers Market is a free pattern by Pat Sloan. Pat did it as a BOM. I love this quilt and had a lot of fun making it.
I used the same fabric for the binding that I used for the backing.

Heart wall hanging
I made this wall hanging for Lacy. It turned out to be a practice piece also as I had found a stiple design to use on my embroidery machine. I would not want to do a large quilt using this design and I need to learn to judge the placement of the design better.
Did you notice that the word "better" is smaller than the other words? Why? I didn't change any settings.
