String Quilt Quilting

I started quilting the string pieced quilt this morning. Not a pretty site. I worked and worked trying to get the tension right. Plus my stitches looked horrible.
It just wasn't getting any better.
Finally, I said enough.

I picked out part of the horrible quilting and saved as much of the quilt as I could and made something else.

Happy quilting!

what did you make?
I too have that problem sometimes. I think it's the bobbin thread.

Cindy, give me a call this morning and I can give you a few tips that might help you :) There's a few things that help smooth the process of free motion and of course lots of practice.

I think you did great for a beginner!!

Sometimes I have to use a bigger needle. It is a shame to have to rip it out.....I hate to rip out...so frustrating.

How frustrating!
Try a new needle and reload the bobbin and top threads. Then scream!

Hang in there! Try a new needle, rethread the machine, insure the bobbin is in the case correctly....hope these suggestions work for you.
