I did not buttonhole stitch this by hand the way Debbie Mumm suggested, that is what my sewing machine is for. I appli-quilted the little wall hanging. I had not applique'd or appli-quilted in a long time.

That is very cute and I agree that cleaning of the sewing area can result in a LOT of unplanned delays!! :)
That is adorable and the book you found looks like it should have wonderful stuff to come.
This is so cute...I recently cleaned out my closet where all the odds and ends go....what a nightmare, but now it is more organized. I found some stuff I was going to give away, need to get on that.
