    Jan Boot Bash BOM

Molly is doing Boot Bash BOM. Molly talked about this BOM last year and I couldn't hardly wait for her to start it. Well, when I told Lacy about it, she wanted a Boot Bash quilt also. Lacy did great choosing her fabrics for the January boot. I may let her start choosing my fabrics.
    And my boot.

    Lazy Hearts BOM Jan

I am participating in Rhonda's BOM called Lazy Hearts. Lacy wanted a Lazy Heart quilt also. Lacy and I did not want the month embroidered on our block. I wish I had moved the heart down a little on the block. I used the same background fabric on both blocks but had to use different fabric for the hearts

    Quilt Rack

I have the best friends. My friend who lives down the hall from me went garage sale-ing and found this quilt rack for $5 and she bought it for me. I was so excited I thought I was going to cry. It is 36" wide and is made on top to hold plates.

It has a little damage but Lacy works wonders with wood putty and she thinks with a little sandpaper and wood putty she can fix it. On the back where you slip the nail into the hole is chipped so Lacy will be fixing that also.

    String Quilt

I stopped working on this quilt when it got to be 44" x 44". I am thinking of adding some borders, narrow on the sides and wider on the top. The boys will enjoy it.

Toni is doing this and I thought I like to make list of things I need to accomplish, so I will give it a try.

Kim (A Peach In Stitches) is sharing her weekly goals. She even has a a Mr. Linky on her blog if you wish to share your goals and work through them weekly.  I borrowed her beautiful graphics, isn't it cute?

    Fabric

Lacy and I went shopping for the background fabric to use in the BOM that Molly and Rhonda are making for us. If you are interested in a BOM, Molly is doing the Boot Bash and Rhonda has the Lazy Hearts.

Unfortunately, you can't tell from the picture but the white is a tone on tone. The blue is for my quilt and the burgundy is for Lacy's quilt.

    Happy quilting!

    January Towel Swap

I am participating in Toni's towel swap. I thought I was being so smart choosing January. Get my towels done then sit back and wait for my towels to come in each month the rest of the year.

First, I was not happy with the color towel that I had to settle for and snow was the only theme I could come up with for January.

I tried to capture the fabric but I couldn't. For the hat I used a black glittery fabric and the snowman is made with a shimmery powder blue fabric. The snowmen are ready to ring in the new year. I hope the other swappers are pleased with the towels.

    Happy quilting!
