I'm making all my grands Christmas string quilts. The first one I'm saying is red and green. I will decide later who will get this quilt. The quilt finished at 42" x 59"
Here is a close up of the fabric.

Granny Square Corner
I found this pattern on Pinterest. I love Pinterest, you can find all kinds of things to make there. When I pinned this pattern it took me back to lionbrand. The pattern was for a much larger blanket but I was trying to use up scraps and this size will be perfect to cover Chelsi when she comes to visit. Finished size is 27" x 26". I don't like the way the finished edge looks so next time I will probably do something different.
Happy stitching.

I'm starting now on my Christmas quilts since I need 5. This one will be mine and it finished at 50" x 65", perfect for snuggling under on the sofa.

Granny Square
I had entirely too much left over yarn and it had to go. So I just started making granny squares. Then I got to thinking about sewing them together, so they went from this.
to this
I have another row of squares to add then I will be ready to start the edging. I ran out of white, picked up some more so I'm ready to get back to this. I have no idea what size this will finish at as I intend to go around it several times with a granny border.

Be Attitude October BOM
Two more blocks and I will have the quilt top finished. I really like this block. I know the dog doesn't have any eyes but Lacy had a dog one time and he was so black you could not see his eyes unless you got really close.
Happy stitching!

2012 Goals
For several weeks I've been thinking about what I want to accomplish in 2012. I really want to get the quilt tops in my closet quilted and I want to finish the projects that are just laying around. I'm not saying I won't start any new projects because I know I will. In no particular order:
I want to add a red border to this panel and scallop the edges. I have never did scalloped edges but I think it will be slow sewing.
I also want to do something with this panel.
I want to finish my hexagon quilt but first I have to take it apart.
Be Attitudes - finish Oct, Nov and Dec blocks.
Boot Bash - finish Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec blocks on mine and Lacy's quilts.
Quilt the following quilts
Trains - I have no idea how many more blocks I need but I think about 30
As slow as I am that should keep me busy next year.
Happy New Year!
