I found this tutorial for a gown at Banana Bear Blog and I thought Chelsi needed it. I will be making more for her. I'm not sure what size she wears, preemie is a little small and newborn is huge on her.
I'm working on getting caught up. Be Prayerful is ready to be stitched and Lazy hearts needs to be fused. Today is another day and more sewing time.
Have a great day!!
When you visit my blog you will find me blogging about the things I love;applique', crochet, quilting, photography, cooking, my three grandsons and my granddaughter.

Yarn stuff
Not a very catchy title? Sorry I'm combining yarn, crochet and knooking into one post.
First the yarn.
The pink and red will make two Christmas dresses. I will add the white with silver (below) to make the dresses. The lavender and light pink is used for baby sock yarn. Who knew? A certain yarn for making baby socks.
I have several crochet projects going. I kinda got hung up on crocheting to the point that my fingers started going numb and my entire arm hurt. Overkill? So I had to take a few days off. Plus I've promised myself "no more crocheting or knooking all day and night."
Lacy got me this crochet book.
Of course, I want to make everything in the book. I started with Pig Security Blanket but I stopped because Chelsi's feet are so teeny her socks won't stay on. The socks are in this book also.
I'm also making her a sweater but I only work on that when I go to Sit 'n Stitch. lol I can work on that without counting, that way I can talk.
And last but certainly not least, I've been learning to use the Knook. The first stitch which was the knit stitch came real easy to me and I made several rows. I know so little about knitting I had to google knit stitch so I knew if mine looked right. The next stitch was the Purl stitch, I also had to google to see what it looked like.

Makeover
Jon and Lacy are at Kid to Kid so much I'm thinking they have their own keys to that store. lol
The last trip there, Jon found this little outfit. He took it to Lacy and said "Can your mother make this cute?" I thought that was funny.
I looked through my embroidery designs looking for the perfect design.
To me it still wasn't "cute" enough. So I started looking at baby outfits on etsy. Which caused me to have to make bows. I had never made bows out of ribbon.
I didn't think I did bad for the first time and Chelsi promised me she would wiggle if anyone started looking at them up close. ;)

Roll
Chelsi needed tops to go with her capri pants. Although, the capris are long pants on her. This is the first top I did for her. I think it needs little bows or flowers to cover the snaps.

I won!!
Cheryl over at Living in a Material World was giving away a Knook. Well, I couldn't hit comment fast enough as I had been wanting one of these since Leisure Arts started advertising them. I was so tickled that I won.
If you don't know Cheryl you need to scoot on over to her blog as Cheryl is an editor over at Leisure Arts and she writes about interesting things and gives little peeks of books that are coming out.
Yes, I have played with it a little but I over used my arm crocheting and now my carpal tunnel is really aggravated.

Photos
There will be no more photos of my grandchildren posted on this blog. Imagine my son-in-law's surprise and anger when he found photos of his children somewhere else.
I have created a private blog where Lacy and I will be posting photos. That blog is by invitation only.
If you would like to view that blog and I have not sent you an invitation, please let me know and I will gladly you send you an invitation.
Thanks for understanding.

Candy Corn
It is never too early to think about candy corn. I like the chocolate candy corn better than the original. Since I was wishing for candy corn I got to thinking it wasn't long before bags of candy corn could be seen on the store shelves. So I got busy. Here are the dresses I will be offering in my shop.
I've had several ask about Chelsi. Well, not to be outdone by her brothers, she has so far refused to come on her own. So Thursday morning at 0500, eviction papers will be served. I hope to have photos to upload some time that day. Please keep Lacy and Chelsi in your prayers.
Stay cool!

Squishy mail
I love squishy mail. I really love surprise squishy mail and that is exactly what Barb did this week. I was so surprised. Just look at the goodies Barb sent.
Hubbykins thinks I should use some of the train fabric for a pillowcase for Nikolas. The applique' scissors, apple and the thread square will go into my Things I Love quilt. Oh and just look at those cute little scissors.
Thank you so much, Barb!
Hope everyone has a great sewing week!
