2007

Yes, I'm going all the way back to 2007 before I moved to New Mexico. I had started cross stitching these boots.
The boots were a free pattern from Just Cross Stitch. I don't remember how many different patterns there were as I lost these two boots during the move and didn't want to start over. Well, I found the boots recently and have searched for the patterns but now I can't find them. Oh well!

So would it look odd if I made a small wallhanging? I have a lot of work in the boots.

I searched to find out how to sew the fabric to the aida cloth. This is what I found on eHow. If you know of a better way, please share with me.
Choose a straight stitch on a sewing machine for woven fabrics. This produces a firm, secure seam. Be sure to reverse your sewing machine at the beginning and end of each seam to lock your stitches into place. The seam allowance can fray, so finish these seams with pinking shears or a zigzag stitch once you finish stitching.

Happy quilting!

They are too cute!! I would recommend putting some light fusible stabilizer on the back and sew them into a quilt! You then could use a straight stitch. They would work nicely as wall hangings as well, but think they would work great adding them into your BOM Boot Bash :)

Cindy, those are beautiful! Can you somehow incorporate them in the cowboy BOM you will be working on? I also found a cowboy pattern that may be of interest to you.

Cindy, I just love those boots! Of course you should do something with them, even if you only have two. You deserve to see these every day; you invested a lot of time in them, and they are just fabulous.

There is no guarantee that the folks who write sewing articles in eHow are actually people who sew. I remember seeing a discussion like this in my Stashbusters Yahoo group; I'll go see if I can find it. I'll keep you posted.

Cindy--these boots are beautiful. Have you ever thought about framing them? Just a thought.
