Where is Cindy?

Cindy is laying on the sofa or laying in bed. Yes, I've been sick for a month and when one has been sick that long depression can sit in. So I'm better but still fighting the depression. I will win the fight I'm just not sure when.

So my Christmas projects are not finished and probably won't be this year and I'm still at the point that I don't care that they are not completed. I've purchased the boys Christmas and Jon and Lacy will get a card with money in it. So I'm calling my Christmas shopping finished. (Note: Hubby and I shop for each other after Christmas.)

I did a little sewing before I got sick. I saw people making string pieced quilts and I liked them. NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!! What a mess. I don't think I will ever get all those little pieces picked up.
I also started a farm quilt for Aiden.
Doesn't every farm have a wolf and a caterpillar?
And every farm has at least one ant. lol
Oops! I goofed and made two ants.
What's a farm without a pig?
You have to have a barn for all your animals. I think that is a pretty fancy barn.

The other thing I did was I made an owl using Barb's pattern. I will be adding to this little owl collection.
Happy quilting!

I sure hope you get to feeling better, I wish I lived close enough to come for a visit, I would take the other couch (HA!!). My husband is snoring right now, I would take any couch!

I love your farm animals.....

Cindy, I am so sad to hear that you are ill. I hope you get better soon.
I love your string quilt but I do what you mean about the mess. The one I made is quite heavy too.
Of course every farm has caterpillars. They are the ones that eat all the leaves. All your projects just look so wonderful.

Hi Cindy, so sorry that you aren't feeling well. We're here to help cheer you up! Your projects are just fabulous. Love the string quilt, but I'm sure those scraps can get messy. Your farm blocks are adorable, love them all. I hope you feel like sewing again soon.

Hi, Cindy! I hope and pray that you are feeling more like yourself soon. The approaching holidays will hopefully cheer you. :)

I think that string blocks can go well if you have a system for dealing with the pieces that you cut off. As I cut mine off, I took a second and sorted each piece right then and there. It's worth a try; your string blocks look too fabulous to be the last ones you ever do!

Cindy, glad you're beginning to feel better. Being sick is not fun and when it takes awhile to get better, that's no fun either. I hope you know that your blogging buddies are here to cheer you up and on.
Take care.

It is awful being sick during the holiday especially when you have projects you want to do. I hope you are better. Your strip quilt looks good and the blocks are so cute. Have a Merry Christmas.
