A quilter named Kathy ...I have had that happen too. A quilter named Kathy Sanbach used a liquid silicone for the threads to lubricate them and they would break less. Never found it in the small shps but maybe in a sewing machine shop that sells fancy threads. If it were me I would complain to the company. I know when you have trouble like that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth on using it again.
