Recipes

I'm addicted to pinterest. You can find anything on pinterest including recipes. Here are just three recipes that I have made and we loved.

No name
Melt a stick of butter in the pan. Slice one lemon and layer it on top of the butter. Put down fresh shrimp, then sprinkle one pack of dried italian seasoning. Put in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 min. I cooked mine for 30 min.

Crack Potatoes or Loaded Potato Casserole

2 (16oz) containers sour cream
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 (3oz) bags real bacon bits
2 packages Ranch Dip mix
1 large (28 - 30oz) bag frozen hash brown potatoes - shredded kind

Combine first 4 ingredients, mix in hash browns.  Spread into a 9x13 pan.  Bake at 400 for 45-60 minutes.

Sweet & Spicy Bacon Chicken

4 chicken breasts cut in thirds (12 pieces)
Bacon slices
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder
chili powder
brown sugar

Cut each breast into 3 pieces, season all the chicken with the spices, then wrap a bacon slice around each piece, roll in brown sugar and place into an oven proof dish....make sure you have some olive oil in the dish too, like 2 or 3 tablespoons is fine {I skipped this since I grilled them.  I honestly think you could coat your dish with nonstick cooking spray instead to save a few calories}.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and bacon is nice and brown and crispy.  Delicious served with mashed potatoes with some of the gravy from the chicken drizzled on top.

**Also great on the grill!  No juices to drizzle on anything, but still delicious!

Enjoy!

Reindeer Games

Trying to get all my reindeer ready for the big day! I will be adding to the reindeer when I get home. I haven't decided what I will be adding to their scarves.

Note: I have a few post scheduled as I will be away for a few days with my daughter and her family. My daughter is having major surgery today at 1230.

Hexie Love

I've been working on hexies.

The hexies on the left for a new project and the hexies on the right I think are enough to finish my Batik hexie garden.

This is what I have done on the new project so far.
This week's totals
44 hexies  6 jewels

Tote bags

The two younger kids needed "church bags". The bag needed to be big enough for two diapers and a bottle/cup with lid. I couldn't make Aiden and Chelsi a bag and not make one for Nikolas and Greg.

Enjoy your weekend!

Chelsi's Tea Party

Chelsi loves playing with her tea set. If she pours tea for you, you better drinks or she will stare at you  until you do. Child is rude. lol Her mother thought she needed a quilt with teapots and cups. So I'm using Pat Sloan's Mad Hatter pattern. There will be several cups and teapots with only one creamer and one sugar bowl. I'm sorta playing it by ear as I'm not sure of the size or layout.

The creamer and sugar bowl will be kinda of in the middle.
This is the first cup and teapot.

Did you notice the background is white with pale pink dots?
